Sell my BMW
A BMW valuation that looks at the car, not just the registration
The right engine, trim, drivetrain, options, history and condition can make a meaningful difference to buyer demand. We assess those details alongside the current market before giving you a guide figure.
- Reviewed by a buyer, not generated by a calculator
- Specification and history taken into account
- No auction of your details, no obligation to sell
Ask us to value your BMW
Give us the basics. We'll review the car properly before sending a considered market figure.
Why this matters
What makes a difference on a BMW
Two apparently similar examples can appeal to the next buyer very differently. A considered valuation gives us a better chance of putting the right number on a genuinely desirable car.
Engine and drivetrain
Six-cylinder, xDrive and — on the right cars — a manual gearbox change who the next buyer is. Averaged valuations tend to flatten that out.
M Sport and specification
M Sport trim, Professional media, Shadow Line, a panoramic roof and Touring bodywork all shape how easily a BMW finds its next owner.
History and originality
Documented maintenance — including known weak points dealt with properly — strengthens a car. Unexplained modifications usually don't.
What we look at
The details we'll want to understand
Make-specific rather than a generic tick sheet. Knowing where these cars are strong and where they need care is what lets us give a figure we can stand behind.
- Exact derivative, drivetrain and gearbox
- Service history and condition-based servicing record
- Timing chain history on relevant diesel engines
- Tyres matched across each axle
- Factory options verified against the build
- Keys, ownership history and outstanding finance
How it works
Quick to submit. Properly thought through.
Tell us what you have
Registration, mileage and contact details. Add photos and history on the next screen.
We assess the actual car
Specification, history, condition and where comparable cars sit in the market.
We send a considered figure
A guide valuation from an actual buyer. If it works for both sides, we move on to inspection, payment and collection.
Questions
Selling a BMW — straight answers
Is a manual BMW worth more than an automatic?
On certain performance models, it can be — so few were sold that buyers seek them out. On most other BMWs the automatic is the more straightforward car to place.
Does the timing chain issue on older diesels affect the figure?
It depends on the evidence. A documented chain replacement can actually strengthen an older car. We'd rather know the history than assume the worst.
Will you consider a BMW that's been on track?
Tell us upfront. Track use with proper records and fresh consumables is a very different proposition from something discovered later.
Can you buy a BMW on PCP or HP?
Potentially, yes. Outstanding finance can be dealt with as part of the purchase once the settlement position has been verified.
